The young golfer will have plenty of prominent backers when she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and often matches against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He practically advised me to play and enjoy myself," she continued.

"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions this year and holds position 461 in AJGA standings.

But she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.

"He stands as the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.

"Additionally, he's a superior person. He advised me to play, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."

She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

The LPGA stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially with younger fans.

Kai has millions of followers and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle brand.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
